Green & Pink Make-Up Idea!

New things (like haircuts, haircolors, clothing, jewelry, make-up) always inspire me to experiment. Also the hair. In my previous post you could read about my Dip & Dye. So I tried a new make-up matching my hair and the top I was wearing (which had a green print). It's a simple make-up, but still a it'll catch people's eyes!
On the bottom eyelid I drew a line with metallic green eye pencil (Kiko Glamourous Eye Pencil no. 412). This line I fixed with eyeshadow (MAC Steamy Frost), to make it stay on all day.

Kohl always needs to be fixed with an eyeshadow. Actually all make-up products that are a bit greasy, need to be fixed with a powder, to make them stay on all day. That's also one of the reasons that you need to put powder on top of your foundation.

This eye pencil is not so greasy, so it doesn't really need fixing, however I like to do it because this eyeshadow makes the green more intense. I also drew a line on the inside of my bottom eyelid, which I didn't fix with eyeshadow for obvious reasons. On the top eyelid I drew pink line from the outer corner until about halfway the lid, this I did lip pencil (Kiko Lip Pencil no. 204) ;) Of course this isn't meant to use on the eyes, but it worked anyway. On top of this line and on the outer corner of my eyes I put some pink/purple-ish glitter. Some mascare, and done!

My Dip & Dye

This, is my new haircolor :)
But... I didn't get my whole hair done, I just did a 'dip & dye', which means dying only the bottom part of your hair, as if you dipped it into the dye!
I got a pink/purple-ish color. For Dutchies, I got it done at Heads Academy. I always go there to get my hair cut and they are always doing a perfect job. Yet, the name already gives it away, it's a school for hairdressers. This also means that it is very good value for money.

I'm really happy with my dip & dye. I look in the shop windows all the time to take a look at it ;)
I would have liked to color to be even more bright, but that's a minor detail. In fact, after they dyed it once, I thought it was too light, so they already dyed it twice to get the color as I wanted it. I might ask them to make it even brighter pink, when I go back to get the color freshened up after it's faded in a few weeks.

Awesome lemon pie!

I've made this pie a couple of times, and it is gooooood! :)
That's why I want to share the recipe with you guys!

the lemon pie from the original recipe

You need:
- frozen puff pastry enough to cover the spring cake tin (in the Netherlands it'll be from Koopmans and you'll need 6 sheets), defrosted
- 1 egg, whisked
- 125 gram sugar + 1 tablespoon for the bottom of the cake tin
- 4 sheets of gelatine (Dr. Oetker)
- 4 lemons, rubbed clean
- 1 cup of heavy cream (250 ml, 'slagroom' for Dutchies)
- 1 cup of mascarpone (250 gram)
- 40 gram of pine seeds
- spring cake tin of 28 cm cross-cut, greased

1. Preheat the oven on 180 degrees Celcius. Arrange the pastry onto the cake tin, prick holes in it en bake in the oven for 35 minutes. Then take it out of the oven, cover with the egg, sprinkle with the sugar en bake for 2 more minutes.

2. Soak the gelatine in cold water for at least 5 minutes. Grate the yellow skin of 1 lemon and squeeze this lemon and 2 more lemons. Heat the juice in a pan and let the rest of the sugar dissolve in the juice. Take the pan of the stove. Squeeze out the gelatine and put it in the pan. Let it cool down.

3. Whisk the cream until it's a bit thicker than yoghurt. Stir the mascarpone loose. Put the lemon grinds, the lemon syrup and the cream together with the mascarpone. Cover the bottom with this mixture. Let it  curdle in the fridge for 2 hours.

4. Roast the pine seeds for 2 minutes in a frying pan (no oil!). Let them cool down. Cut the last lemon into slices and put it on the pie together with the pine seeds (see picture above).

The recipe is supposed to be dessert for 8 persons. It takes about 40 minutes of real work, 40 minutes of oventime and 2 hours of waitingtime.

Just try it, it's easy and tastes real good!

my lemon pie!

I had some blueberries on my fruitbowl when I made this pie, so I just added them on top. I think it looks nice, and they go very well with the pie aswell.

Wow... translating the recipe was quite hard. If you read it and you see mistakes, please let me know.
Hope you enjoy your lemon pie!!

Cool hairdo!

Yesterday I was really happy with my hairdo! So in the evening I asked my boyfriend to take some photo's so I could put them on the blog! I'm sorry for the bad quality of the photo's.

I didn't do my hair very neat, also because I don't like that. The way I did it, it is a very nice way to keep your hair out of your neck on a warm day, awesome for a day at the park, a picknick or a barbeque. You could even stick some flowers in it! If you do it a bit more neat, and use bobby pins with little pearls on it, it is a great hairdo for a wedding!

How can you make this hairdo too?
I started with one tuft of hair on the left side, this I rolled up taking more hair with it every turn. I rolled it a little bit further than halfway towards the right side of my head. Then I put it into place with a bobby pin. On the right side I did the same, but only for a little distance, until it was at the same spot as the left roll. The right roll I also put on the same spot with a bobby pin. The rest of the hair I braided. The finished braid I rolled upwards, until it was on my head, and put it onto place with a few bobby pins.

Try it, it is not difficult! Let me know if you did!
